Daniel 4:28-37

The Goal of the Covenant

I remember reading a book that my friend gave me written by Harold Camping, from the Christian Reformed Church. The title of the book and a best seller was “1994” the year Jesus was to return. Needless to say it is no longer a best seller. This is the kind of nonsense that is damaging to the Christian Church and the credibility of the gospel. Camping, when he came to grips that this date was wrong, began to cover himself by suggesting another date 2033 on the grounds of Mark 5:13 where the passage speaks about a man possessed by demons and Jesus expels them and He sends them into a herd of pigs. 2000 of them were run over a cliff. The total years 2000 representing the years between Christ’s death 33 AD and His coming again. (Thus 2033)

A great reunion is coming where all of God’s Covenant people will meet again at the glorious return of Jesus. We will sing throughout eternity – Psalm 89:1-4
