Colossians 3:1-4

Living the Resurrected Life

Introduction:

The Christian life is marked by obedience. Jesus said, “If you love me you will keep my commandments” John 14:15. Mark Johnston who writes a commentary on Colossians is the senior pastor of Proclamation Presbyterian Church, also the trustee of Banner of Truth Trust, comments regarding being raised with Christ: “It is Paul’s way of saying that God never tells his people to do anything for him without first reminding them of what he has done.” One way of putting it is, Not only does God save us by grace but also by grace we are enabled to live for Him.
