Revelation 15:1-8

The Final Plagues

Introduction:

What we are finding in the exposition of the book of Revelation is not merely a repetition of blessing upon the saints and judgment upon the unbelieving world, but also a slow but steady advancement to finality of judgment upon the wicked and the glorious presence of the saints in heaven. One commentator points out that when John speaks about God’s judgments on the unbelieving world, he, within the same context has a segment on the victorious saints. This gives a picture of the extraordinary balance between judgment and blessing. Again the two-sided coin appears: heaven and hell; judgment and glory; and darkness and light.
